*Judge Larry Seidlin handed down a decision in the Anna Nicole Smith case yesterday. The judge broke down in tears as he strongly recommended that Anna Nicole be buried next to her son Daniel in the Bahamas. He ruled that the court-appointed guardian of Anna Nicole's daughter Dannielynn will get custody of the remains. Meanwhile, Anna Nicole's mother is appealing the decison. Let the woman rest in peace already!

*Britney Spears is back in rehab--for the third time! The first two times she stayed less than 24 hours so hopefully she will complete her program this time. An emergency custody hearing for Brit's two sons was cancelled yesterday as Britney's mom, Lynne and Kevin Federline agreed to share custody of the boys while Britney is in rehab. Gwen Stefani and Justin Timberlake defended Britney's new shaved head look. Gwen thinks she looks good and Justin said it was a good choice because it's a new start.

*Remember Trista and Ryan from The Bachelorette? They fell in love on the reality show and got married on TV. Now they're expecting their first baby after two years of trying to get pregnant. Congrats!

*Shame on you, Donald Trump! Trump reportedly wanted to fire Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell as host of next month's Miss USA Pageant because Nancy is pregnant and The Donald doesn't like how pregnant women look. Oh, please!!! Nancy got the last laugh because she's under contract with NBC and she will still host the pageant.

*Big stars are coming to American Idol this season, including Jennifer Lopez on March 11 and Gwen Stefani on March 28.

*The Oscars are coming up Sunday night on ABC with Ellen DeGeneres hosting for the first time.

*Congratulations to Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross ("Bree.) She gave birth to twin girls--Eden and Savannah. Mom and babies are doing fine. Marcia is 44 years old, so it gives hope to us "older" women!

*Britney Spears checked out of rehab--again! Britney left a live-in rehabilitation facility less than a day after checking in. She may have a good reason for leaving. Brit may have to fight for custody of her 2 young sons. Her ex, Kevin Federline asked a judge for an emergency hearing today to discuss custody. Meanwhile, a tabloid report says Britney tried to take her own life two times--once by walking into traffic and another by taking too many prescription pills. I hope it's not true!

*The Anna Nicole Smith hearing continues this morning at 10:30AM. Judge Larry "Sideshow" Seidlin said he will hand down a decision tomorrow on who has the right to bury Anna Nicole. Judge Seidlin has been contacted by several Hollywood agents who want him to star in his own courtroom show (the male version of Judge Judy.)

*A Grey's Anatomy spinoff is in the works. The new show will follow Kate Walsh’s character “Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd.” There's no title yet, but a two hour pilot will likely air on ABC in May.

*The American Idol Results Show is tonight--we'll find out who will be sent home. The Top 12 Women performed last night and they were much better than the guys.

*Jerry Springer announced the cast for the new season of Dancing With the Stars, which debuts with a 2-hour special on ABC March 19. Here's the lineup: Heather Mills (Paul McCartney's ex, who has a prosthetic leg,) Billy Ray Cyrus (Achy Breaky Heart guy,) Leeza Gibbons, former 'N Sync member Joey Fatone, Laila Ali (boxer and daughter of Muhammad Ali,) former Sopranos star Vincent Pastore, Olympic speed-skating champion Apolo Anton Ohno, supermodel Paulina Porizkova, basketball Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler, actor Ian Ziering (Steve on Beverly Hills, 90210) and Miss USA 2004 Shandi Finnessey. It should be an interesting and entertaining season!

DIANE'S CELEBRITY DIRT - WED., FEB. 21

*Britney Spears is back in rehab. She checked into an in-patient facility in Los Angeles after family members , especially her mom urged her to check in. I'm glad Brit is getting the help she needs! A report says Britney may have shaved her head after a fight with her ex, Kevin Federline on Friday. A source said Kevin has been concerned about Britney's partying and her parenting skills so he threatened to have people test her hair to find out exactly what she's been up to. Britney was so scared of the possibility of losing her two sons that she shaved it off.

*The Anna Nicole Smitch circus, I mean hearing, continues this morning in a Florida courtroom. Judge Jerry Seidlin has to decide who has the right to bury Anna Nicole. The judge is a former Bronx taxi driver and he is a piece of work! He was cracking jokes yesterday! I hear the guy wants his own courtroom TV show and now he'll probably get it. I must admit the hearing was entertaining, but we can't forget that a woman is dead and her baby daughter is without her mother!:

*The Top 12 guys performed last night on American Idol and I must say that I was very disappointed! Not one stood out for me. Ryan Seacrest accused Simon of being in a bad mood but he deserved to be in a bad mood after hearing those lame performances! Maybe the girls will come through tonight. Tomorrow night it is the results show.

*More presenters have been added to the Academy Awards (the Oscars) coming up this Sunday night, including Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Biel, Gwyneth Paltrow and Diane Keaton. I can't wait to see what (or "who") they will be wearing on the red carpet.

*Britney is bald! She walked into a California hair salon Friday night and asked the salon owner to shave off her hair. When the lady refused, Britney did it herself, then went to a tattoo parlor and got 2 new tats. Now the hair is up for sale on this website: buybritneyshair.com and the minimum bid is $1,000,000. Yes, 1 million dollars! The price includes Brit's Bic lighter and Red Bull can. A report says Britney was angry that her mother told her to get her act together. She checked into a rehab center late last week, but abruptly checked out the next day. Meanwhile, she continued to party over the weekend while wearing a platinum wig. I really hope Brit gets the help she needs or she may end up losing her 2 sons! Who thought that Kevin Federline would actually look good compared to Britney?

*Exes are expecting a baby. Actress Bridget Moynahan and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady split up in December, but they are expecting a baby. Bridget is more than 3 months pregnant and Tom is now dating model Giselle Bundchen

*Hugh Grant is single. He and his girlfriend of 3 years. Jemima Khan split up

*The fight over where to bury Anna Nicole Smith continues today in a Florida courtroom. She did buy a burial plot in the Bahamas next to her son Daniel's, so I'm not sure what the judge will rule, but her wishes seem pretty clear to me....

*Nicolas Cage's new movie, Ghost Rider was #1 at the box office, taking in more than $51 million over the 3-day weekend, the best opening of Nicolas' career and a President's Day Weekend record. Bridge to Terebithia was #2, follwed by Norbit and Music & Lyrics.

*An Anna Nicole Smith movie is in the works already and producers want Oscar winner Charlize Theron to play Anna Nicole.

*Justin Timberlake is on tour and Donald Trump went to one of his concerts. The Donald fell asleep! I know Trump only sleeps four hours a night, but how do you fall asleep at a concert?

*Former Felicity star Keri Russell married her longtime boyfriend, Shane Deary, in an intimate Valentine's Day ceremony. They are expecting their first child this summer.

*Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's wedding will be a foreign affair and they want their guests to be prepared. Eva and Tony sent out several hundred Eiffel Tower save-the-date cards announcing their July 7 wedding in Paris. There's a reminder on the cards that everyone should obtain or update their passports for the overseas ceremony.

*Jamie Foxx is being sued by a fashion stylist for allegedly stiffing her on her salary. Stacy Young was hired to work with Jamie at a rate of nearly $3,000 a day for two events ($3,000 for shopping? I do it every day for free!)

*Presenters have been added for the Academy Awards on Sunday, February 25: Ben Affleck, Tom Cruise, Kate Winslet and Kirsten Dunst

*Beyonce is the cover girl for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. She's the first non-model to grace the cover

*Heather Mills, Paul McCartney's ex, will reportedly put on her dancing shoes for the new season of Dancing With the Stars, which debuts on ABC March 19. Jerry Springer will announce the new cast on February 21.

*Michael Jackson may make a surprise appearance on this season of American Idol

*Denny is coming back to Grey's Anatomy! I hear that he won't be a ghost--he will appear in a flashback scene

*Men are lining up to claim they are the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby, but they could be mistaken if they think paternity will automatically mean a pot of gold. Lawyers say any money could be in a trust for baby Dannielynn. Meanwhile, Anna Nicole's former nanny claims that Anna purposely underfed Danielynn to keep her "sexy." This woman was fired so I don't know if I buy that--the baby looks pretty healthy to me. Also, Anna allegedly received prescriptions for Methadone and Demerol while she was pregnant.

*No bag for Britney! Designer Lydia Hearst rejected Britney Spears' pleas for a limited edition handbag, saying "I'm only giving the bag to accomplished young women who are doing something positive to affect the world around them." (oohhh, that hurts!) So who got one? Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anne Hathaway.

*Happy Valentine's Day! Sandra Bullock will spend Valentine's Day with her hubby, Jesse James. Sandra loves being married, but she's sick and tired of people asking her when she's going to have kids. Sandra said she may slap the next person who asks!

*Matthew McConaughey may not be single much longer. He's filming a movie with Kate Hudson in Australia and I hear that the two are getting pretty cozy (that's a good-looking couple!)

*There have been questions about Paula Abdul's crazy behavior on American Idol. Paula claims she has never been drunk and has never done recreational drugs (how about prescription drugs, hmmmm?)

*Anna Nicole Smith's ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, who claims he's the father of baby Dannielynn, says he tried to force Anna Nicole to kick her drug habit after she got pregnant, but his efforts got pushed to the side

*If you want to catch a movie with your sweetheart for Valentine's Day you may want to see the new romantic comedy Music and Lyrics starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant--it opens today in theaters. The newly single Drew said she's going bowling tonight with her girlfriends.

*Kate Winslet said she'll sue over a magazine report that she has been seeing a diet doctor in Los Angeles. Kate said it's not true - she never has and never will (She doesn't need a diet doctor, she looks fabulous) Kate is nominated for a Best Actress Oscar and more presenters have been announced for the ceremony on Sunday, February 25. Will, Ferrell, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Reese Witherspoon, George Clooney, Cameron Diaz and Hugh Jackman will all be presenters (that's a good-looking lineup!)

*The Hollywood round kicks off tonight on American Idol (finally!) Paula Abdul said Gwen Stefani may be one of the celebrity mentors on Idol this season

*Anna Nicole Smith's lovers are coming out of the woodwork. Another guy is claming he may be the daddy of 5-month-old Dannielynn. Personal trainer and chef Alex Denk, who was featured on Anna's reality show on the E channel, said he had a 5-year affair with Anna Nicole. Larry Birkhead, who claims he's the daddy, is heading to the Bahamas today to fight for a DNA test.

*Exes can be friends--even in Hollywood. Vince Vaughn attended Jennifer Aniston's 38th birthday party Saturday at the Beverly Hills home of Jen's best friend, Courteney Cox and he stayed for two hours.

*Sting made the official announcement that The Police will kick off a world tour. More dates will be announced soon, but so far the closest venue is Madison Square Garden in New York on August 1 and 3.

*Congrats to Kevin Costner and his wife, Christine--they are expecting their first child together

*The Anna Nicole Smith saga continues. Anna's half sister, Donna Hogan, is writing a tell-all book and she speculates that Anna's second husband, J. Howard Marshall is really baby Dannielynn's father because he allegedly left behind a specimen. Three men are now claiming that they are Dannnielynn's father, including Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband (oh, please! )
Meanwhile, the contents of Anna Nicole's refrigerator in the Bahamas were uncovered and they were disturbing. The frig mainly contained cans of Slim-Fast and Methadone (so sad!)

*Paul McCartney reportedly offered Heather Mills a $49 million settlement deal in order to put an end to their bitter divorce battle.

*At the weekend box office, Eddie Murphy's new comedy Norbit was #1, followed by Hannibal Rising and Because I Said So

DIANE'S CELEBRITY DIRT - FRIDAY, FEB. 9

Anna Nicole Smith is dead at the age of 39. She was found unconscious in a Hollywood, Florida hotel room yesterday afternoon and was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Prescription and illegal drugs were taken from the hotel room as evidence but we may not know the cause of death for weeks. Anna Nicole leaves behind a 5 month-old daughter whose paternity is at the center of a court battle. One of the men who claims he is the baby's father, Larry Birkhead, went to court this morning to try to get an emergency DNA test to establish custody. I was really shocked and sad to hear the news of Anna's death. It was only 5 months ago that her 20 year-old son Daniel died of a drug overdose. I guess there's only so much a body can take. I just hope things work out for the baby so at least she can grow up with one loving parent. Rest in peace, Anna Nicole.....

*Britney Spears is single again. Her short romance with model Isaac Cohen is over. He dumped her over the phone! Come on, be a man and at least dump her in person!

*Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is setting the record straight--she does not use Botox! Teri said she has heard and read all the rumors and they're not true.

*Katherine McPhee's debut CD is #2 on the album charts

*Dreamgirls is coming back to Broadway. A revival is in the works and Oscar nominee Jennifer Hudson may star in the show

*Survivor: Fiji debuts tonight at 8:00 on CBS. Can you believe it's the 14th installment? Good news if you're a fan: Survivor was renewed for at least 2 more seasons.

*What was the worst love scene ever filmed? According to Maxim Online, it was the romp between Rosie O'Donnell and Julian McMahon on Nip/Tuck. I agree! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made the list at #4 for their love scene in Gigli.

*Ellen Degeneres is getting ready to host the Oscars on February 25th and she's going glam! Ellen is even considering multiple outfit changes. She is also considering having a baby with girlfriend Portia DeRossi but they haven't decided on the most important issue--who will carry the baby. Portia said Ellen but Ellen said that will never happen.

*Christina Agulera and her hubby Jordan have a weekly tradition in their household: Naked Sundays! They do everything around the house in the nude, even cooking.

*Jim Carrey is writing a self-help book titled Be Ready to be OK. Jim will offer advice on how to be prepared to deal with unpleasant situations or problems. Meanwhile, Jim is totally in love with Jenny McCarthy but they have no plans to get married

*Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller as The Hardy Boys? Tom has been talking with Ben about starring in a comedy called The Hardy Men

*Charlize Theron is being sued for wearing the wrong watch. Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil is suing Charlize for wearing a Christian Dior timepiece when she was suppposed to wear only Weil watches (ooops!)

*The American Idol auditions wrap up tonight and the competition from Hollywood starts next week

*Remember the Superbowl commercial with Oprah and David Letterman sitting on the couch together watching the game ? That wasn’t Dave’s first choice for an ad for his show. He wanted to play peacemaker and bring Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump together, but Trump said no way!

*A lot of celebs were in Miami for Superbowl weekend, including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony (who hosted and performed at a party Saturday night) and their friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Tom was wearing a gold blazer and matching pants--not a great look! Anyway, witnesses said they had a great time and Tom and Katie looked totally in love. Katie told Harpers Bazaar Magazine for the March issue that Tom makes her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world (AHHHHHHHHH!)

*Prince performed in the (purple) rain at the Superbowl Halftime Show last night. I just have one question: Does the man EVER age??? He looks exactly the same (if not better) as he did more than 20 years ago. It's not fair!

*Whitney Houston wants a quickie divorce. She wants to unload Bobby Brown ASAP! Whitney asked the court for a default judgment of divorce. All she wants, she says, is custody of the couple’s teenage daughter, Bobbi Kristina – with Bobby getting visitation rights.

*Ryan O'Neal was arrested and accused of assaulting his 42 year old son Griffin with a handgun during a fight at Ryan's home early Saturday. Ryan was released on bond. And you thought your family was dysfunctional??!!

*The horror movie The Messengers was #1 at the weekend box office, followed by the romantic comedy Because I Said So

*Dr. McDreamy is a new McDaddy. Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian welcomed twin boys, Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick Thursday in Los Angeles.

*A heads-up for Harry Potter fans: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last of 7 installments of Harry Potter's adventures, will be published July 21. That's a week after the release of the film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

*Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson will perform one of the Best Song nominees at the Oscars on February 25. You probably remember Jennifer from her days on American Idol. Well, she said she was abused on Idol. (Come on, you know what you're getting yourself into when you audition!)

*Lindsay Lohan backed out of the upcoming movie A Woman of No Importance. She wants to focus on getting better in rehab.

*American Idol producers said Courtney Love is not replacing Paula Abdul as a judge. In other Idol news, Paul McCartney turned down an offer to be a guest mentor this season (I guess he's too busy with his big divorce!)

*Diddy (Sean Combs) sold the photos of his newborn twin daughters to People Magazine for six figures. I'm still waiting to see the photo of Britney Spears' son Jayden! Where is she hiding him?

*Despite rumors that their marriage is on the rocks, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have renewed their vows and their planning a second honeymoon this summer

*Tyra Banks will model the bathing suit that made headlines on her talk show today. One headline read "America's Next Top Waddle" (That's just mean!!) Tyra said she's 160 pounds and proud of it!

*Katherine McPhee guest stars as herself tonight on Ugly Betty at 8PM on ABC, followed by a new episode of Grey's Anatomy.
