*Rosie O'Donell announced yesterday that she's leaving The View in June after only one season. Rosie said she couldn't come to a contract agreement with ABC--they wanted her to sign on for 3 years and she only wanted a 1-year deal. Rosie has been very unhappy lately and I think she just wanted out. She seemed like a different person yesterday--like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. It's probably not fun to work for Barbara Walters!

*Speaking of The View, Alec Baldwin taped an appearance on the show yesterday and it will air tomorrow. It's Alec's first TV interview since the shocking voicemail he left for his 11-year-old daughter was released. Alec reportedly offered an emotional apology to his daughter and said he shouldn't have taken his frustration with his ex-wife out on his daughter. Alec also said he wants to leave TV so he can focus on his cause--parental alienation.

*A shocker last night on American Idol. Noone was eliminated! Ryan Seacrest said it was in the spirit of charity since it was the Idol Gives Back special. A record breaking 70 millon votes were cast this week and don't worry--your vote counted! This week’s votes will be added to next week votes and the bottom 2 will go home

*Welcome back Reege! Regis Philbin returns to Live With Regis & Kelly this morning after undergoing heart bypass surgery 6 weeks ago

*Rosie O'Donnell leaving The View? A report says Rosie may announce her departure from the show today, although she would probably remain on the show until the season is over. I will watch The View today and keep you posted!

*Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn back on? They had a sleepover! Vince stayed overnight at Jen's place over the weekend.

*It's elimination night tonight on American Idol--we'll find out who will be sent home and it's night two of Idol Gives Back with appearances by Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Bono, Pink and many more. It wasn't the same last night without Sanjaya!

*Heather Mills was sent home last night on Dancing With The Stars

*Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown finally named her new daughter. Angel Iris Murphy Brown is named in part after Eddie Murphy, whom Mel says is the baby's father. Eddie isn't so sure--he wants a paternity test.

*Speaking of babies and paternity tests, Larry Birkhead will be back in a Bahamas courtroom this morning because he wants to bring his daughter Dannielynn home to California. Guess who wants to block him from doing that? Anna Nicole Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur. Who does this woman think she is? I'll tell you who she is--the grandmother! Or should I say the grandmother with dollar signs in her eyes! All of this fighting in court is just pushing Larry further away--to the point that maybe he won't want Virgie to be part of Dannielynn's life at all when this nonsense is resolved.

*Jennifer Lopez will be paid $50,000 a minute for an appearance! Nice work if you can get it! A Russian banker is shelling out $2 million for Jennifer to appear at his wife's 30th birthday party for 40 minutes. The guy is worth $5 billion so he can afford it.

*It's a special week on American Idol. Tonight is the first night of the two night event "Idol Gives Back," during which Idol will attempt to raise millions of dollars to benefit relief programs for children in extreme poverty in the U.S. and Africa. Tonight the 6 finalists will sing life anthem songs and the 2 hour results show tomorrow night will feature Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani and many others.

*Carrie Underwood spent some quality time over the weekend with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, celebrating his 27th birthday in Dallas and the pair looked very cozy. Witnesses say Carrie and Tony were smoochy-smoochy (how cute!) Meanwhile, Carrie is in a Nashville studio recording new songs for a new album and she'll be at Caesars Atlantic City on May 25 and 26

*Sheryl Crow's weekend verbal political spat--Sheryl attended the White House Correspondents Dinner and things got heated when Sheryl confronted President Bush adviser Karl Rove about global warming. When Sheryl put her hand on Karl's arm, he said "don't touch me." Karl said "She came over to insult me and she succeeded." Ouch! Play nice kids! American Idol reject Sanjaya also attended the dinner and will read the Top 10 list tonight on David Letterman's show.

*Dancing With The Stars is on tonight. Airline passengers turned down an offer from contestant Heather Mills to dance for them. After the entertainment on a flight from L.A. to London failed to work, Heather suggested that she and her dance partner do their routine. The other passengers didn't think that was such a good idea.....

*Nick Lachey and Vanessa Manillo moved in together. Could Nick be a newlywed again in the near future?

*I guess Alec Baldwin won't be getting a Father's Day card this year. Alec left a scathing voicemail message for his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland in which he called her a "thoughtless little pig" and bashed her mother. I understand Alec is going through a nasty custody battle with his ex, Kim Basinger but don't take it out on a little girl who is caught in the middle!

*Guess who had a baby with her stepbrother? Anna Nicole Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur! The son was born before Anna Nicole. Ewwww! That's like Greg hooking up with Marcia on the Brady Bunch! A custody hearing for Anna's 7-month-old daughter Dannielynn is scheduled for today in the Bahamas. I hope Larry Birkhead finally gets sole custody.

*Oprah asked Simon Cowell if he would have quit American Idol if Sanjaya ended up in the bottom 3. He said he would have quit, but then added that producers probably wouldn't have let him out of his contract. What will Sanjaya's next move be? He said he wants to do some acting and modeling and star in a Broadway show (Sanjaya: The Musical???)

*Sanjaya was finally sent home from American Idol last night. We'll miss you Sanjaya! Also, last night Simon set the record straight about Tuesday night's incident in which he sarcastically rolled his eyes after contestant Chris Richardson offered condolences to the families of the victims at Virginia Tech. Simon said he couldn't hear what Chris had said because he was talking to Paula. His reaction was to what Chris had said previously, that singing nasally is a form of singing. I know Simon is a tough judge, but I knew that had to be a misunderstanding because deep down Simon is a good guy.

*The TV Guide Channel fired Joan and Melissa Rivers and replaced them on the red carpet with former Dancing With The Stars contestant Lisa Rinna (the one with the big lips.) Lisa will make her red carpet debut at the Emmys in September.

*Newly skinny Courtney Love says that exercise and diet – not gastric bypass surgery – helped her drop 52 lbs.

*Carrie Underwood is May's Cosmo cover girl. Can you believe this? Carrie says she ca't find a man because guys don't ask her out! Carrie is back in the studio working on songs for her next album.

*Britney Spears is blaming Paris Hilton for her downward spiral into rehab (come on, Brit, take responsibility for your problems!)

*Jennifer Garner said she doesn't want to miss a second with her 16-month-old daughter Violet. Jen said she feels like a "lovesick teenager" when she's away from Violet (ahhhhh!) There's another rumor that Jennifer and Ben Affleck are expecting baby #2.

*Posh Spice on Dancing With The Stars? Producers would love Victoria Beckham to be a contestant next season. Vic is reportedly considering it. The DWTS results show is on tonight--we'll find out who will get the boot this week.

*American Idol goes country this week. Can you imagine Sanjaya in a cowboy hat and boots? Martina McBride will be the guest mentor.

*Regis Philbin will return to Live With Regis & Kelly next Thursday, April 26 after undergoing triple bypass surgery nearly 6 weeks ago.

*Could Britney Spears be the future Queen of England? British bookmakers are placing odds on who will capture the heart of Prince William, who just split with his girlfriend. Odds of 20-1 are being placed on Britney. I don't think the Royal Family will accept Brit!

*Spiderman 3 opens on May 4 and Tobey Maguire said the hardest thing about playing Spidey isn't the hazardous stunts or long hours--it's kissing co-star Kirsten Dunst. Tobey explains
that during his infamous rain-soaked upside down smooch with Kirsten in the first film, he had rainwater running up his nose. Then, when Kirsten rolled back the wet mask, she cut off the air completely." That's some workmen's comp case!

*Britain's Prince William (hunky son of Diana and Charles) is in need of a new princess. William and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton have split. He's 24 and didn't want to be pressured into marriage. Hey, that's a pretty good pick-up line--"I'm a Prince!" Hard to top that one guys!

*Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton won't take a stand on Sanjaya. When asked what Americans should do about American Idol singer Sanjaya, Hillary wouldn't take a stand. Answering like a true politician, she said "Well, you know, people can vote for whomever they want. That's true in my election, and it's true on American Idol." I wonder who her husband Bill is voting for now that the hot chick, Haley has been voted off....

*Leonardo DiCaprio to be a new daddy? The latest pregnancy rumor involves Leo and his model-girlfriend Bar Rafaeli. The rumor started when Bar wore a loose fitting top to a party in Las Vegas (maybe she wanted to be comfortable?!)

*Anna Nicole Smith's baby daughter Dannielynn is still in legal limbo, even after Larry Birkhead was named the baby's daddy last week. A custody hearing in the Bahamas Friday was delayed for a week and guess who's holding things up--Anna Nicole's mother, Virgie Arthur. I heard that Virgie wants custody of the money--I mean Dannielynn--in the event of Larry's death. This infuriates me! She had a chance to raise her children and she did a pretty poor job. Let Larry raise his daughter and he will indicate in his will who he wants to take care of Dannielynn when he passes away.

*Gwen Stefani looks fabulous as a platinum blond, but she considered going back to being a brunette. Then she changed her mind and said she's gonna milk the blond thing as long as she can.

*There's a new #1 movie--Disturbia, the updated version of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window topped the weekend box office. Blades of Glory fell to #2, followed by Meet the Robinsons and Perfect Stranger.

*Madonna adopting again? Madonna is on her way to Malawi and a report said that she was going to adopt a 3-year-old girl. Madonna's rep said it's not true. Madonna is going to Africa to oversee the building of a children's health care center, not to adopt again.

*Did you know that American Idol recycles hair extensions? Haley Scarnato, who was voted off this week, said that she wore Katharine McPhee's old hair extensions from last season. Yes, they did wash them first!

*Carrie Underwood is a big fan of horror movies. She has seen every installment of the Halloween and Friday the 13th series (She should watch one tonight since it is Friday the 13th!)

*A custody hearing is scheduled in the Bahamas today regarding Anna Nicole Smith's 7-month-old daughter Dannielynn. The baby's daddy, Larry Birkhead will request sole custody and unless Anna's money-grubbing mother puts up a fight he should get it

*Ladies, this may make you feel better about yourself--Gwen Stefani said she struggles with her weight. Gwen said she has been a diet since 6th grade and the battle to stay thin is a nightmare!

*The thriller Perfect Strangers starring Bruce Willis and Halle Berry opens today in theaters. Can you believe that Justin Timberlake turned down Halle? She called him and he never called back

*Marc Anthony has agreed to pay $2.5 million in back taxes and penalties after failing to file tax returns for five years. It wasn't Marc's fault, though. He wasn't prosecuted because an accountant handled his returns and Marc thought the taxes had been paid. Meanwhile, a report claims that Marc's marriage to Jennifer Lopez is over. Their rep says it's a big lie and they are thinking about suing. I hope it's not true because it would be embarrasing for Jennifer to have 3 ex-husbands!

*Sanjaya survives another week on American Idol--he wasn't even in the bottom 3! Haley Scarnato (the one with the longggg legs) was voted off last night. The Idol contestants said Jennifer Lopez has been their favorite guest mentor so far.

*Larry Birkhead spent time yesterday with baby Dannielynn. He fed her applesauce and changed his first diaper (Ahhhhh!) A custody hearing in the Bahamas is set for tomorrow. Hopefully Anna Nicole Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, won't fight Larry for custody.

*Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora are officially divorced. The settlement was worked out yesterday. Heather has reportedly been dating her former Melrose Place co-star Jack Wagner (cute couple alert!)

*Larry Birkhead told the crowd gathered outside a Bahamian courthouse yesterday, "I told you so!" after DNA results revealed that Larry is the biological father of Anna Nicole Smith's 7-month-old daughter Dannielynn. A guardianship hearing is scheduled for Friday. I'm just glad that Dannielynn will grow up with her real Dad.

*Production on the film "Anna Nicole" starts next week. Who will play Anna Nicole? Former Dancing With the Stars contestant Willa Ford (hmmm, I didn't know she was an actress.) The movie will cover Anna's life from age 17 until her death in February at 39.

*Leeza Gibbons got the boot last night on Dancing With the Stars and co-host Samantha Harris announced that she's pregnant with her first child (I knew that was a baby bump!)

*A Sanjaya shocker on American Idol--he actually sounded pretty good last night! Even Simon said "it wasn't horrible." We'll find out tonight who's going home. My official prediction is Haley.

*Elizabeth Hurley going to prison? Elizabeth and her new hubby, Arun Nayar have been accused of breaching Hindu customs with their lavish Indian wedding and the punishment could be jail time. Arun's father is willing to testify against the couple (and you thought your family is dysfunctional?!) Some of the customs they are guilty of breaking are Liz refusing to remove her shoes, kissing after the ceremony, driking during the reception and Liz showing too much skin.

*Today is the big day in the Anna Nicole Smith baby daddy saga. We should find out today if Larry Birkhead is Dannielynn's daddy after a hearing in the Bahamas. Anna Nicole's mom will be there because she is still fighting for custody no matter who the daddy is.

*Jennifer Lopez will coach the contestants on tonight's episode of American Idol. I wonder if Jen will get along with Sanjaya! I also wonder how she gets her skin to glow like that!

*Also tonight, it's the Dancing With the Stars results show. We'll find out who's going home tonight. I have a feeling it will be Leeza Gibbons because she got really low scores last night.

*Representatives for Nicole Kidman again denied that Nicole is pregnant. Her tummy looks pretty flat to me!

*Justin Timberlake is still a fan of his ex-giflfriend Cameron Diaz. Justin said he would defend Cameron if anyone said anything bad about her because he loves and respects her. Ahhhh!

*A celebrity marriage on the rocks? Reports say things are tense between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas and they have been spending a lot of time apart. I hope things work out because I like those two together!
*Speaking of marital problems, Katie Holmes stormed out of Tom Cruise's home last week because Tom informed her that she had not been cheerful enough in public (gotta keep up that happy Stepford-wife image!)

*Will Ferrell still rules the box office--his comedy Blades of Glory was the #1 movie for the second weekend in a row. The Disney animated movie Meet The Robinsons was #2, followed by Are We Done Yet, Grindhouse and The Reaping.

*Britney Spears has really been a sports enthusiast lately. She spent Easter at yet another Lakers basketball game. It may have to do with a man rather than the sport. I hear that Brit likes Laker Luke Walton

*At least one man claims he is NOT the daddy of Anna Nicole Smith's baby--Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. Tomorrow is the big day in the paternity case. Unless there is a last minute appeal, we should find out if Larry Birkhead is baby Dannielynn's daddy.

*Sanjaya survives another week on American Idol! He wasn't even in the bottom three. It came down to Haley and Gina in the bottom two and Gina was sent home.
*Mariah Carey a mommy? A report says Mariah recently spent some time with her attorney at an orphanage in Mexico because she wants to adopt a child. She can definitely afford it, but she's so busy right now working on a movie and new album. I hope she can find the time needed to take care of a kid instead of pawning him/her off on a nanny.

*Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are dating. That's a cute couple! They are trying to keep their relationship low profile, so they have been staying in and spending quiet nights at home

*Valerie Bertinelli, best known for the sitcom One Day at a Time, has landed a brand new role: Joining Kirstie Alley as the new celebrity face – and body – for Jenny Craig. Valerie said she's fat and wants to go from a size 14 to a size 8 (you go girl!)

*Angelina Jolie adopting again??? Not yet! There was a report that Angelina was adopting another girl from Africa but the rumor is not true.

*Tony Bennett coached the contestants last night on American Idol and he liked Sanjaya--he said he's different! I guess that's one way of looking at it. I must say that I was looking forward to seeing Sanjaya perform. I know that he's not good but I'm caught up in the whole Sanjaya phenomenon. Plus, I'm a little bored by the other contestants. I doubt if Sanjaya will go home tonight but we'll find out on the results show.

*Former Miss USA Shandi Finnessy was voted off Dancing With the Stars

*We still don't know the baby's daddy in the Anna Nicole Smith paternity case. There was a hearing yesterday in the Bahamas but they didn't unseal the DNA test results because the doctor who performed the tests and analyzed the results was not in the Bahamas. There is another hearing set for next Tuesday and that could be the day--finally--that we find out if Larry Birkhead is Dannielynn's daddy.

*Baby news: former Spice Girl Melanie Brown welcomed a baby girl early this morning. However, the paternity of the new baby is in question. Mel B. claims her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Murphy - who shares a birthday today with the infant - is the father, but he wants a DNA test.

*Speaking of paternity disputes, a hearing is set for 2:30 this afternoon in the Bahamas in the Anna Nicole Smith paternity case. I hear that baby Dannielynn's DNA results won't be unsealed at the hearing today because the DNA expert won't be there. We have to wait a little longer to find out if Larry Birkhead is the baby's daddy. Come on, enough suspense already!

*Ryan Seacrest named his choice for the winner of American Idol this season: Jordin. Ryan said she's a great singer and a pretty girl. We'll see how Jordin does tonight on American Idol as Tony Bennett coaches the contestants. I can't wait to see Tony hangin' out with Sanjaya!

*You probably heard that Bob Barker is retiring as host of The Price is Right this summer. Guess who the frontrunner is to replace Bob? Former Dancing With the Stars contestant George Hamilton (yes, the really tan guy.) Nobody can truly replace Bob, but I think George would do a good job--he has a great personality and sense of humor.

*There's a report that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting married this weekend in the Dominican Republic (I'll believe it when I see it! Plus, it's not easy packing up all of those kids to go out of town....)

*New DVDS in stores today include Charlotte's Web and The Good Shepherd

*Will Ferrell has the new #1 movie. The comedy Blades of Glory, which stars Will and Jon Heder as rival figure skaters who become the sport's first men's pair team, took in $33 million. I saw Blades of Glory and loved it! Let's face it, the movie won't win an Oscar, but who cares? Any movie that makes me laugh out is worth the $9 ticket price. Will Ferrell is a comic genius and Jon Heder is hysterical! The new Disney animated movie Meet The Robinsons was #2 at the weekend box office.

*The 20th Annual Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards aired Saturday night. If you missed it, I'm sure Nickelodeon will re-air the awards. Some of the winners:

*Larry Birkhead, Anna Nicole Smith's ex-boyfriend got a special delivery Saturday--and it was not good news! Larry received a FedEx package with a legal bill from his former attorney Debra Opri for more than $620,000! The bill is for work Debra did on Larry's behalf in his ongoing paternity battle for baby Dannielynn. Some of the charges are ridiculous! Debra billed Larry for attending Anna's funeral, dinners in the Bahamas, food shopping and her husband's laundry bill. By the way, Debra's legal fee is $475 per hour (I'm in the wrong business!!)

*Dancing With the Stars is on ABC tonight. Heather Mills, who did a great job the first 2 weeks says she is terrified of dancing tonight. She has to do the jive, which is a fast-moving form of swing dancing and she said it is going to be tough to do with her artificial leg. I'm sure she'll be fine! After DWTS, it's the season premiere of The Bachelor featuring 30-year-old Navy doctor Andy Baldwin.

*Jessica Simpson and John Mayer arrived in Australia over the weekend, where John is on tour for the next two weeks. Jessica's little sister Ashlee said John is great for Jessica and she's happy that Jess is happy (Ahhhhh, sisterly love....)

*Marie Osmond and husband Brian Blosil are divorcing after 20 years of marriage
